Skipzy was born on July 12, 1997, into a Tiv family in Benue State, Nigeria. Raised in the vibrant Tiv culture, he completed his secondary education in Benue before starting to pursue his music career.

At the age of 19, he began his musical journey, releasing his first Afrobeat track, “Bianca,” at the age of 20. His talent didn’t go unnoticed, as he gained recognition for his brief music covers shared on social media platforms.
