The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) has arrested two former workers of Union Financial institution in Makurdi over the alleged stealing of N4,199,500 belonging to a deceased buyer of the financial institution.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale disclosed this in an announcement on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Abuja.
Based on him, the suspects, Idah Ogoh and Agbo Okwute have been arrested on Friday in Makurdi, Benue State.

“Their arrest adopted a petition in opposition to them by the financial institution on fraudulent debits on a deceased buyer, Emmanuel Azer Agenna’s account.
“Their dealings have been uncovered when the household of the deceased approached the financial institution for the stability on the account of the deceased for probate processing.
“The household disputed the stability given to them by the financial institution and subsequently despatched a criticism to the financial institution relating to unauthorised debits on the account,” he mentioned.
