Dhul-Hijjah, the twelfth and closing month within the Islamic calendar, is without doubt one of the 4 sacred months in Islam throughout which Muslims the world over carry out pilgrimage (Hajj) and have fun the Eid-El-Kabir pageant.

In the course of the month, Muslim pilgrims from around the globe congregate in Mecca to carry out Hajj, which begins on the eighth, and have fun Eid-El-Kabir from the tenth to the thirteenth of Dhul-Hijjah.

Eid el Kabir commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah’s command. Within the Islamic custom, simply as Ibrahim was about to hold out the sacrifice, Allah intervened and supplied an animal to be sacrificed as a substitute.

This occasion symbolises religion, devotion, and submission to the desire of Allah. Muslims have fun this pageant by slaughtering an animal, usually sheep, goat, or cow, and distributing the meat amongst household, associates, and people in want.
