Gaby Moreno Wins Best Latin Pop Album at Grammys 2024: Speech – Billboard


In a night that celebrates the perfect in music, Gaby Moreno stood out on the sixty fourth annual Grammy Premiere Ceremony on Sunday (Feb. 4) as a performer and winner.

The Guatemalan singer/songwriter, alongside Mexican artist El David Aguilar, provided a rendition of “Luna de Xelajú” that was nothing wanting mesmerizing. The set not solely showcased Moreno’s beautiful vibrato, but in addition paid homage to the wealthy heritage of Latin American folks music.

Wearing a silky purple robe, with Aguilar in a brown go well with and tie, the duo, every wielding steel-string acoustic guitars, delivered to life the whimsical appeal of “Luna de Xelajú.” Their efficiency, underscored by the mild accompaniment of a grand piano and a symphony offering delicate background layers, left the viewers in awe — most notably, the host. “Guys that’s probably the most lovely issues I’ve ever heard,” songwriter Justin Tranter stated after the efficiency. “Her voice is so lovely.”
