JUST IN: Protests rock Kano over dethronement of Aminu Ado Bayero as Emir (Video)


A few of them lit bonfire on the most important street as they marched chanting anti-government songs.

In a viral video sighted by our correspondent policemen have been seen on floor however they didn’t try to disperse the protesters.

The protesters trooped out after observing a particular prayer session.

A few of them had placards with inscriptions corresponding to: “Abba Kabir Yusuf, Obey Courtroom order”, “Courtroom Introduced You”, “You Should Obey The Courtroom”, “Aminu Is Nonetheless Our Emir”, “We Are In opposition to Injustice”

Recall that Bayero was deposed on Thursday after Abba Yusuf, the Kano governor, signed a brand new regulation that repealed the Emirate Council Regulation 2019.

The 2019 laws balkanised the Kano emirate into 5 jurisdictions and supplied grounds for the dethronement of Muhammadu Sanusi in 2020.
